Geoffrey "Geoff" Gunney (MBE) (birth registered October→December 1933 (age 78–79) in Leeds South District[1]) is an English former professional rugby league footballer of the 1950s and '60s, and coach of the 1970s who at representative level has played for Great Britain, and at club level for Hunslet, playing at Second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums, and at club level has coached for Wakefield Trinity.

Geoff Gunney won caps for Great Britain while at Hunslet in 1954 against New Zealand (3 matches), in 1956 against Australia, in 1957 against France (3 matches), in the 1957 Rugby League World Cup against France, and New Zealand, in 1964 against France, in 1965 against France.[2]
